Bank Farm, Abereiddy, Pembrokeshire

Abereiddy is probably one of my favourite places to go and sketch. There’s something special about the old cottages perched right on the edge of the sea, they feel like hidden gems, quietly tucked away from everything else. The textures of the stone, the way they sit hidden in the landscape yet overlooking the coastline, and the constant movement of the water make it an endlessly inspiring place to draw and paint.
But on this evening, the sunset was the real attraction. Golden and red, yet with a heaviness in the sky that made it seem as though rain could fall at any moment. It was a magical moment, the shifting light casting itself against Bank Farm Cottage, bringing it to life in a way that felt both fleeting and unforgettable.
