Carreg Cennen Castle is a dream of a place, probably the best situated castle in Wales, built on a high rocky outcrop overlooking the River Cennen. The castle dominates the valley and best seen from the South Side in mid-morning sunshine. This painting is one of my largest to date and I loved capturing the simplistic image yet was difficult not to get lost in the detail of the castle.
