Poppies

Poppies are painted for a variety of reasons, but most commonly, they are painted to commemorate Remembrance Day and honor those who have served in war. The poppy has become a powerful symbol of remembrance. Poppies are appreciated for their beauty and symbolism of hope, resilience, and the continuation of life.

I painted this image from my neighbours garden. I was helping out with cutting the hedge when I notices that these poppies were massive. They were so bright in colour yet so delicate to touch. I did manage to get seeds from these flowers so hopefully I will have some of my own.
