Bwthyn Trehilyn consistently ranks in the top echelons of Wales' holiday cottages. In fact, it often makes our 'Top 3 Most Booked' list. It's conveniently located within a short 10-minute drive from Abermawr beach and is within walking distance from Strumble Head's renowned dolphin lookout and lighthouse.
This traditional Pembrokeshire farmhouse, once in ruins, was diligently restored by the BBC's Griff Rhys Jones. Utilizing genuine restoration materials and techniques, it's nestled at the end of a secluded lane, surrounded by 70 acres of picturesque farmland with captivating sea vistas.
You can amble over to the iconic Ynys Meicl lighthouse or embark on a hike to the hidden Porthsychan cove. The cottage's revival journey was chronicled in the BBC series “Return to a Pembrokeshire Farm”. Children will be thrilled with the on-site play area, and the vantage point nearby offers a chance to spot dolphins and whales.
The entire restoration emphasized sustainability.
