Welcome to Tenby Harbour, one of the most picturesque harbours in Wales. Surrounded by colourful houses, sandy beaches, and rich maritime history, the harbour has been at the heart of Tenby life for centuries. Just above the shoreline stands the historic St Julian’s Church, often known as the Fisherman’s Church. This small medieval chapel once served local sailors and fishermen, offering a place of prayer and protection before journeys at sea. Today, both the harbour and the church remain treasured landmarks, connecting visitors to Tenby’s unique coastal heritage.

I have stood many times on this beach and along the harbour wall in every kind of weather, watching the sea during dramatic high tides and calmer days alike. Each September, I return with my large Welsh flag to support the incredible athletes taking part in the Ironman Wales event. If you are lucky enough, you may witness the perfect sunrise, with soft pale-blue morning light rising gently above the harbour and surrounding coastline, one of Tenby’s truly unforgettable sights.
