The Slipway, Cwm yr Eglwys

Cwm yr Eglwys is set on the north coast of Pembrokeshire with sandy coves which provide plenty of rock pools for the explorer. This Village is very popular due to the location and history surrounding the area. Above the beach is the end wall of a chapel and the rest was washed away in the enormous storm of 1859. There is now a 10ft high wall providing protection to the remaining houses and to get down to the beach, you follow the slipway which narrows past some Fishermen’s Cottages. The shapes of these houses and the wooden shed really shone on this particular summer’s day. I really enjoyed mixing these colours to capture the warmth.
